Hello all:
As announced last week, we are confirmed to have a term-ending concert at LaidLaw Memorial United Church, 155 Ottawa Street North (at Cannon) at 7PM on Saturday December 10. We meet at 6pm, doors open at 6:30pm, and the show starts at 7pm. Dress rehearsal will also be at Laidlaw on Wednesday December 7th from 6:30 to 9:30. Not only will we be busy the next few weeks honing our collective singing talents – we’ve got some other stuff to get done too!
Concert volunteers
Many thanks to those of you who’ve come forward already but we need more horsepower. Light work for the many is good.
Bake sale & gift baskets
We’re looking for contributions to both efforts at a value-added experience for concert goers. If baking isn’t your bag, you could contribute a new item for a gift basket(s) raffle. Why not live it up and contribute to both efforts? Sign up sheets will be at the rehearsal front desk.
Concert ticket sales
Get your guests, kinfolk, neighbours, favourite shop keepers, heck – even your dentist is welcome at Laidlaw on December 10th. Here’s the link for concert ticket purchases:

Tickets will also be available at the door. $15 or PWYC. Please remind concert goers that all sales at Laidlaw on concert day are by cash only. Cash is king.
Concert posters
In addition to distributing a virtual copy of our concert poster through the usual social media outlets, we’ll have color copies available at the front desk for members to distribute at will in their own neighbourhoods. Don’t be shy – ya gotta talk yourself up!
Only 2 boxes of Bill Nesbitt’s fantabulous, incredible, mouth-wateringly stupendous Newfoundland cookie assortment left! Last chance folks.
Many thanks to those of you who have chosen to give not only in rehearsal effort but in volunteering to help this choir grow. It’s truly inspiring to witness the rebirth of HS!CC after the devastation Covid wrought on our special community. Pat yourselves on the back – you deserve it.
